Chris and I decided to be completely spontaneous and booked a room in Burlington, VT on Thursday night for Friday and Saturday! We stayed in an Econo Lodge so we definitely weren’t living the high life. Ha ha. We got in a little late Friday night after a little over a 3 hour drive. The next day we went to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Burton Flagship store (where Chris left drooling), Lake Champlain Chocolates(where I left drooling), and explored downtown Burlington. It was nice to get away.

When we got home we went to check on our fish (we’ve only had him for 2 weeks) and saw him not moving and realized we hadn’t fed him before we left! He was very still and Chris was convinced he was dead. I wouldn’t give up on Andy Bernard (named after the beloved Office character because he’s a beta and betas have tempers). I tapped at the bowl and sprinkled in some food and after a few minutes he started to move! It was a Valentine’s Day miracle!!! And to think that Chris was ready to flush him! Good ole resilient Andy.
